The Get Involved Foundation Community Engagement Award, sponsored by 49ers Hall of Fame Quarterback Steve Young recognizes high school students for their meaningful service work and dedication to improve their local communities. Students who have completed at least 30 verified hours of service within high school are eligible to apply for the award.

What: Differentiate yourself and make an impact with a customized Get Involved Internship project! Connect your interests to a long-term community engagement project to benefit a local organizations. We teach you skills of design, project management, networking, and more and you earn service hours for all your work! Personalized coaching from a Stanford University mentor and instruction from high-quality foundations and community leaders. Pursue your interests and change the world!
Flexible scheduling. Meet weekly with your Stanford mentor and Get Involved project manager to guide you every step of the way. Choose from in-person or virtual meetings. Develop a robust project portfolio! We’ll support you during and after your project with letters of recommendation and service hours verification.
