The Get Involved Community Engagement Award, sponsored by 49ers Hall of Fame Quarterback Steve Young recognizes high school students for their meaningful service work and dedication to improve their local communities. Students who have completed at least 50 verified hours of service between high school admission and graduation (4 academic years) are eligible to apply for the award. (PLEASE NOTE: Required hours have been changed, for applicants after 10/25/26)

Join Us for a Guided Impact Project
Learn the skills of design-thinking, project management, business communication, informational interviews, networking, and more! It’s those “soft skills” and GRIT that you can’t learn in class.
Differentiate yourself and make an impact with a customized Get Involved impact project! Connect your interests to a long-term community engagement project to benefit a nonprofit organization or cause of your choice. Earn service hours for all work to complete your project! Personalized coaching from mentors so you’re never alone. Pursue your interests and change the world!
Flexible scheduling. Meet weekly with your mentor and/or project manager to guide you every step of the way, with Get Involved service-learning curriculum. Choose from in-person or virtual meetings. Develop a robust project portfolio! We’ll support you during and after your project, and provide letters of recommendation and service hours verification.
Tuition: Single-Semester Project $2900 // Two-Semester Project $4900
Summer Program (6/7/26-7/16/27) $4900
