Silicon Valley's New Volunteer Fair
If you are ready to dive in and look at some of the local, eye-opening volunteer projects, the Silicon Valley Volunteer Fair has it all! Hosted by Environmental Volunteers, this event took place at the Palo Alto Baylands Duck Pond on August 17.
All the organizations were intertwined with helping the environment, either through preservation or education: the fair was designed to to spread awareness, help people find potential volunteer opportunities, and learn about the non-profits. There were over fifteen volunteer different organizations present at the fair including Living classroom, Canopy, Happy Hollow, Valley Water, and many more.
If you are ready to get your hands dirty, these projects were all scouting out potential volunteers of all ages, willing to work around your schedule to match with the best volunteer opportunity.
